JEC’s third grade wowed families and faculty with their impressive State Fair, a culminating event that highlighted their months of hard work and learning. Since the start of the school year, students have developed essential research and writing skills, creatively presenting their findings on U.S. states in a trifold display. In a meaningful extension of their learning, students also wrote letters to state legislators, deepening their civic engagement. Finally, the State Fair included the performance of several wonderful songs celebrating the United States, and the display of every student’s trifold and other items related to their chosen states. Parents, students and teachers enjoyed walking through and learning something new about each state. A heartfelt thank-you goes to Mrs. King and Mrs. Medetsky for their dedication and support in guiding students through this enriching experience.
