Jewish Center of Teaneck and BPY Start Shabbat Youth Minyan

Ben Porat Yosef and The Jewish Center of Teaneck have started a Shabbat day youth minyan that will be open to the entire community, for students in grades three through eight from all local schools. This minyan began on Shabbat Tazria-Metzora on April 29 and will meet each Shabbat. It will be led by Rav Yishai Klein, an Israeli shaliach who teaches Judaic studies at BPY. In Israel, Rav Klein serves as a rav and mentor at Yeshivat Otniel. The youth minyan will meet each week from 9:45 a.m. to 11:15 a.m. in one of the downstairs classrooms of The Jewish Center, and will include the Shabbat tefillah, study of the weekly Torah parsha and divrei Torah prepared and delivered by the student participants. Weekly prizes will be given as well. The minyan will conclude each week with a special youth Kiddush. For any questions, please contact the shul office at [email protected] or call 201-833-0515.
