Jewish Center of Teaneck Hosts Gottesman RTW Students

Rabbi Yitzchok Cohen’s fourth grade class of 16 students from the Gottesman RTW Academy in Randolph visited the Jewish Center of Teaneck and the Cedar Lane business district to see some of the highlights of the large and very active Teaneck Jewish community.

The stores that the students visited were Cedar Market, Butterflake Bakery, Judaica House, PizzaLicious and Rabbi Teicher (the sofer). They were escorted by their Judaic studies teacher, Rabbi Yitzchok Cohen, as well as Nicole Fiore, Nechama Peled-Wolf and Andrew Eitel.

Rabbi Cohen (a.k.a. “Reb Yitz”) also took the class on a tour of the Jewish Center of Teaneck, where he serves as ritual director. They had a tour of the Jewish Center including the Pressburger Sanctuary with its five famous stained glass windows and the bronze sculpture of Jacobs Ladder, as well as the lobby with the display of the needlework of the late Betty Samuels.
