In the heart of Bergen County, a unique opportunity awaits the community—a three-part series led by Rabbi Aviram Biton, rabbi of the Sephardic Center of Paramus, exploring the profound teachings within the Pesach Haggadah. This series, conducted in Hebrew, is not just about delving into the Passover narrative, it’s about coming together as a community to uncover the divine spark within each of us.

The community is invited to attend the series, which will meet on Wednesday, April 10; Sunday, April 14; and Sunday, April 21; at the Jewish Center of Teaneck, from 8:30-9:30 p.m.

Hosted as a project of Teaneck Together and the Sephardic Minyan at the Jewish Center of Teaneck the series aims to ignite a deeper connection to the community’s shared heritage and spiritual journey. Rabbi Biton’s teachings will guide participants through the wisdom within the Haggadah, lighting the path toward personal growth, communal unity and the ultimate recognition of God’s presence in the world.

The essence of Pesach lies not only in commemorating the Jewish people’s liberation from Egypt but also in the ongoing quest for spiritual freedom and redemption. As the reading of the Pesach Haggadah approaches, Jews are reminded of the collective responsibility to seek out the divine within themselves and each other. As the hidden layers in the Haggadah are uncovered, the light that resides within each person begins to be revealed and brought forth into the world, creating the story of each individual’s personal “yetziat mitzrayim.”
