Jewish Community Member Robbed at Gunpoint at Local Gas Station

An owner of a local store was robbed at gunpoint last night at the Shell gas station on Route 4 East. The man was on the phone while he filled his car’s gas tank. While the gas was being pumped, a man wearing a mask and a hoodie walked out of a white Mercedes with no license plates and aimed a gun at his chest. The man was robbed of his wallet, including $5000 in cash and a Rolex watch.
The man fled in the Mercedes and police are actively searching for the car. The victim could not believe that an incident of this degree and manner could happen in Englewood, with gas station staff nearby.
The victim urges everyone in our community to stay vigilant and aware of their surroundings, especially in public spaces.
