Jewish Discovery Center’s Food Festival Returns to Scranton, Pennsylvania

The struggles of going on vacation and needing to pack enough kosher food to take along are put on pause for a week for those heading to the Poconos. The Jewish Discovery Center will host a delicious Jewish Food Festival from July 29 to August 2 at Nay Aug Park in Scranton, Pennsylvania. The festival is open for both lunch and dinner. Not worrying about food will allow vacationers time to enjoy the area’s over 75 indoor and outdoor local attractions, hiking and biking trails, farms, waterparks and much more!

Perhaps for some vacationers the local attractions are a side point and the main attraction is the food. This is understandable because the menu consists a large variety of main dishes, side dishes, sandwiches, drinks and desserts, along with daily specials that would make anyone’s mouth water.

To make it all more convenient, the Jewish Discovery Center allows orders online or by phone 30 minutes prior to pick-up. In that case, the happy vacationer doesn’t even need to park; he or she can just pull up to the curb and have lunch or dinner brought out. The hours of the Kosher Food Fest are Sunday, July 29: 11:00 a.m.-7:00 p.m.; Monday, July 30 to Thursday, Aug 2: lunch, 11:30 a.m.-2:00 p.m. and dinner, 4:00 p.m.-7:00 p.m. Bear in mind that the menu has fleishig and pareve options only.

The proceeds help underwrite JDC’s year-round programs. For more information, contact http://jewishfoodfest.com/ and for questions or comments please email [email protected] or call 570-587-3300.
