Jewish Family Service of MetroWest Hosts Annual Gala

(Courtesy of JFSMW) Jewish Family Service of MetroWest (JFSMW) held its annual gala on May 29. Over $350,000 was raised to support JFSMW emergency response services to support the community in times of crisis.

JFSMW honored distinguished community members with awards for their contributions to the organization. These recipients have given their time, invaluable support, generosity and dedication to JFS. Their unwavering commitment allows JFS to respond quickly to their clients and community as emergencies arise.

JFS Maxine Myers Volunteer Services Award: Jocelyn Thompson (Newark).

JFS Lifetime Philanthropy Award: Carol & Robert Marcus (Bloomingdale, formerly of Short Hills).

JFS Rising Star Award: Stephen Weinstein (North Caldwell).

JFS Community Partner Award: Sunrise ShopRite (Parsippany and North Caldwell).

JFS Community Partner Award: Dara & Frank Sblendorio of Sunrise ShopRite (Parsippany and North Caldwell).

JFS Maxine Myers Volunteer Services Award: Jocelyn Thompson (Newark).

The event committee was led by co-chairs Jessica Gantman (Short Hills) and Emily Neider (Short Hills).

JFS Lifetime Philanthropy Award: Carol & Robert Marcus (Bloomingdale, formerly of Short Hills).

The rest of the committee included Andrea G. Bier (West Orange), Pamela Davis (Short Hills), Pam Fishman (Short Hills), Thelma Florin (West Orange), Terri Friedman (Livingston), Steven J.
