The day includes gentle meditative yoga with certified yoga instructor, registered dietitian and health coach Stacey Pinke, MS, RD, RCYT. It will also include a discussion, “What Now? Living Beyond Breast Cancer” by Janette McDermott, MD, FACS, Breast Surgeon, Barnabas Health Group. Healthful refreshments will be served.

Registration is requested but not required. To register or learn more, please contact Lisa Traiger, LCSW at [email protected] or 973-765-9050 ext. 1730.

Sharsheret supports young Jewish women and families facing breast cancer at every stage—before, during and after diagnosis. They help women and families connect to the community in the way that feels most comfortable, taking into consideration their stage of life, diagnosis or treatment, as well as their connection to Judaism. They also provide educational resources, offer specialized support to those facing ovarian cancer or who are at high risk of developing cancer and create programs for women and families to improve their quality of life. They understand that young Jewish women have unique concerns when it comes to breast and ovarian cancer and are the only organization that specializes in serving them.
