JFS MetroWest NJ will begin offering a support group for teen girls (ages 14-17), “Staying Connected While Apart.” This group aims to assist teen girls to better adjust to their new reality, develop coping strategies and connect with others.
The group will meet virtually for six weeks on Wednesdays from 7:30 p.m.–8:30 p.m., beginning on May 19. Dates are May 19 and 26, and June 2, 9, 16 and 23. The group will be facilitated by Kristin Dunne, LCSW, a social worker at Jewish Family Service of MetroWest NJ in the child and adolescent department. She works with children and families, and also works with parents to address the mental health and emotional needs of their children.
