Home-bound seniors often feel isolated and disconnected from the world. You can help them feel like they are part of the community.
Thanks to a grant from the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, Jewish Family Services of Middlesex County (JFS) is beginning a brand new Cooking Companions program. Volunteers will prepare and share lunch with home-bound seniors. All supplies will be provided, as well as training and supervision by JFS social workers.
The food is important, but of equal importance is a chance to have a conversation and brighten someone’s day! To learn about volunteer opportunities or for more information, contact Michelle Beley- Bianco, volunteer coordinator, at 732-777-1940 or [email protected].
