On August 7, Jewish Federation of Northern New Jersey held its “FedTalks: Israel” speaker series featuring social entrepreneur Jonathan “Yoni” Frenkel. Frenkel shared how the tri-state area is transforming into a global hub of excellence in cybersecurity, all by relying on Israeli experts to build and manage key parts of the plan.
Frenkel highlighted many new initiatives both locally and abroad that have impacted and changed the way cybersecurity is utilized. One such partnership that he noted was with the Jacobs Technion-Cornell Institute, a joint venture between Cornell University and the Technion-Israel Institute of Technology. Frenkel believes this institution will bring a new wave of tech talent to the tri-state area, and the increase in talent from this institution, combined with Israeli innovation, will cement the tri-state area as the leader in the cyber industry.
The evening included a beer and cheese reception, featuring Royal Wine and The Cheese Guy. For more information and/or to get involved, please contact at [email protected] or 201-820-3946.
