The Jewish Genealogical Society of New York invites members of the public to their next program, “Finding Relatives Using Genealogy Tools at GEDmatch,” featuring speaker Kitty Cooper, a well-known researcher and blogger on genetics and genealogy. The program will be on Sunday, February 19 at 2 p.m. via Zoom.
Learn how to use the tools of GEDmatch for researching Jewish families and hear about best practices for both new and experienced users. GEDmatch is a free third-party site where you can upload your DNA test results and compare them with those from people who have tested at other companies. Participants will learn about GEDmatch’s many analysis tools, some of which are found nowhere else.
