Jewish Historical Society of North Jersey to Present ‘The Wandering Jews of NJ’

The Jewish Historical Society of North Jersey presents “The Wandering Jews of New Jersey,” a virtual tour of the Yiddishkeit of the Garden State by expert tour guide Oscar Israelowitz on Sunday, November 20 at 7 p.m. by Zoom.

This tour around New Jersey “visits” the Silk City; the unique Jewish farming towns of Alliance, Vineland and Woodbine; the retail mecca of Bamberger’s and home-grown literary giant and Beat poet Allen Ginsberg.

Oscar Israelowitz was born in Brussels, Belgium. He is an architect, licensed New York tour guide and author of more than 75 books. He has given private tours for Leon Uris, author of “Exodus,” and has exhibited his photographs at the Whitney Museum of American Art. He has been serving the New York metropolitan community since 1975.
