The lake at the Jewish Home at Rockleigh will be the site of the Leonora Messer 2014 Summer Concert Series. Exodus Supreme will play on Tuesday, June 24; the Glen Rock Pops on Wednesday, July 9; Randy Accardi on Tuesday, August 14; George Tuzzeo on Tuesday, August 26th; and Ed Goldberg & the Odessa Klezmer Band on Tuesday, September 16. All five concerts will take place at 6:30 p.m. on JHR’s beautiful patio, weather permitting. The public is invited to join us at the concerts.
This is the second year in a row that the summer concert series is funded by a generous gift from Linda and Harold Ganz, members of Leonora Messer’s family. They are sponsoring the series in her name because she particularly enjoyed a Glen Rock Pops concert held outside on a summer night a couple of years ago, said Sunni Herman, JHR’s executive vice president. “She was a regal woman who enjoyed music greatly and was loved by the other residents.”
