Jewish Home Family President Carol Silver Elliott Joins LeadingAge Board of Trustees

Jewish Home Family President/CEO Carol Silver Elliott has joined the Board of Trustees of LeadingAge New Jersey. The announcement was made at the organization’s 84th Annual Meeting in Atlantic City, NJ.

“We are delighted to have someone with the depth and breadth of experience that Carol brings to our board,” said President and CEO of LeadingAge NJ Michele Kent. “She will be a tremendous asset as we work to position the association for the future.”

Silver Elliott joined The Jewish Home Family as President and CEO in November, 2014. Prior to that, she served for eight years as the President and CEO of Cedar Village Retirement Community, a continuing care retirement community located just outside of Cincinnati, Ohio. She has spent most of her career in healthcare, primarily hospitals, including Rockford Memorial Hospital, Stamford Health System and Unity Health System. She also served as president and CEO of Career Development Services in Rochester, NY prior to making the transition to the long-term care arena. She is also the immediate past president of the Association of Jewish Aging Services.

“I am honored to be joining the board of LeadingAge New Jersey,” says Silver Elliott. “They are a vital voice for all of our nonprofit organizations that work with housing and services for older adults. In these times of change, it is important for our organization to play a role and be represented. Taking part in LeadingAge, on the board, enables me to play that role and I am delighted to do so.”

LeadingAge New Jersey and its 135+ nonprofit senior care and housing providers promote quality and choice in aging services. Members offer care, services and support to seniors throughout the state, wherever they call home.

The Jewish Home Family runs the Jewish Home at Rockleigh—Russ Berrie Home for Jewish Living, the Jewish Home Assisted Living—Kaplen Family Senior Residence, the Jewish Home at Home and the Jewish Home Foundation of North Jersey. The mission of the Jewish Home Family and its constituent organizations is to provide the very best care, service and guidance for the benefit of our elderly and their families, at home and at our facilities, now and into the future, regardless of race, religion or financial ability, consistent with our Jewish traditions and values.
