(Courtesy of The Jewish Home) The Jewish Home Foundation of North Jersey is proud to announce the appointment of Laurie Meltzer Bandremer as its new executive director. With an extensive background in philanthropy and community development, Meltzer brings a wealth of experience to her new role.
Prior to joining the Jewish Home Foundation of North Jersey, Meltzer served as the director of Major Gifts at American Friends of Magen David Adom (AFMDA), the primary EMS, blood services and multi-casualty response organization for the State of Israel. Her tenure at AFMDA showcased her dedication to humanitarian causes and her ability to cultivate meaningful relationships with donors.
Before her time at AFMDA, Meltzer held the position of director of development at the Mosholu Montefiore Community Center in the Bronx, where she spearheaded fundraising efforts to support essential community programs. Her commitment to serving diverse communities and fostering social welfare initiatives has been a cornerstone of her career.
Meltzer’s professional journey also includes roles at United Hospice of Rockland and the Jewish Federation and Foundation of Rockland County, where she made significant contributions to organizational growth and community engagement.
With over 30 years of residency in Rockland County, she is deeply rooted in the local community, and her passion for philanthropy and social responsibility has made a lasting impact on countless lives.
