(Courtesy of JFNNJ) On February 22, Jewish Federation of Northern New Jersey held a special evening on combating antisemitism, graciously hosted by Susan and Alan Heideman. They highlighted Federation’s local impact, specifically its expanded role in combating antisemitism. They heard from Tim Torrel, Federation’s director of Jewish Community Security and Alana Burman, director of Jewish Community Relations.
Community members of New Milford along with the mayor and council members were present. Following the meeting, on Shabbat, Mayor Putrino stood at the cross walk by Keter Torah to show support on the so-called “Day of Hate.”
