The Jewish Federation of Northern New Jersey’s FedTalks featured Seth Davis of the organization IsraAID.
Davis, the executive director of IsraeAID, spoke about this truly remarkable Israel-based organization with an impressive mission: to save lives during a crisis, and then change lives by actively supporting local and national decision-makers as they build a sustainable tomorrow.
Davis spoke about missions of humanitarian and disaster relief in locations around the globe such as Nepal, the island of Dominica, California and even aiding Syrian refugees in the waters off of Greece. While there are many emergency relief organizations that aid areas and populations struck by large-scale disasters, what makes IsraAID unique is their ability to rapidly get boots on the ground, being the first to deliver aid to affected areas. IsraAID also stands out as they remain for months and years, helping populations deal with long-term effects of traumatic events even after other aid organizations have left.
