Jewish Family Service of Bergen and North Hudson was the recent recipient of a $5,000 grant from Mr. Tom Eastwick, president of Eastwick College. A generous philanthropist, Eastwick encouraged his college to fundraise on behalf of hunger in the community. This year, the students raised $15,000, which Eastwick matched. Through the Mahwah Chamber of Commerce, he divided the $30,000 between six organizations, all serving the needs of the hungry in our community, including this JFS grant. JFS delivers over 28,000 kosher meals-on-wheels each year and feeds hundreds of families through its Teaneck Food Pantry.
