(Courtesy of JFS Clifton) Now more than ever, individuals and families are turning to Jewish Family Service during the continuing COVID-19 pandemic.
Now more than ever, JFS is turning back to the community to be able to continue to provide essential services for those in need.
Join JFS Clifton as it launches its Nine Days “Strategies for Dealing With Suffering” project. JFS has a long history of helping others cope with trauma and the trauma of Jewish history. The current trauma needs all skills and resources brought to bear, and JFS is using this opportunity to share these resources with the community.
Participants will have the chance to virtually meet some of the therapists who have been working tirelessly since the COVID-19 pandemic began to ensure that the life-saving services of JFS remain available to the community. Their work has included tele-therapy, assisting over 100 community members in obtaining unemployment and other government benefits, keeping seniors connected by regular phone calls and online programming and maintaining the food pantry.
In order to continue these services, the organization needs the community’s help.
Tune in to daily messages during this time of introspection and charitable giving. Throughout the Nine Days, which is a period of achdut, please donate generously to JFS Clifton so that it can continue to support its neighbors, friends and family.
