Jewish Family Service of MetroWest NJ (JFS) and Rachel Coalition, JFS’s domestic violence division, will host a new book club discussion on September 20 at 6:30 p.m.
Many popular books raise issues connected to domestic violence, sexual assault, dating abuse and stalking. Our goal is to engage community members in the work we do at JFS and Rachel Coalition while providing education on domestic violence and other related topics.
The first book to be featured is “Where the Crawdads Sing” by Delia Owens. The book is at once an exquisite ode to the natural world, a heartbreaking coming-of-age story, and a surprising tale of possible murder. Owens reminds us that we are forever shaped by the children we once were, and that we are all subject to the beautiful and violent secrets that nature keeps.
