JFS MetroWest understands that raising children is gratifying but can also be overwhelming and challenging. To help parents better understand their child’s behavior and learn skills to parent more effectively, JFS is offering a four-part series titled “Helping Your Children Thrive.” Short readings will be distributed prior to each session relevant to the discussion topic for the day. Personal experiences and questions will help guide the discussions. All sessions will meet from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at JFS MetroWest’s offices located at 256 Columbia Turnpike in Florham Park. Individual sessions are $30 each or enrollment for the entire series is $100. On March 2, the focus will be “Discipline and Limit Setting.” On March 16, the discussion will be on “Promoting Resiliency.” March 30 will tackle “Managing Difficult Behaviors.” The final class on April 6 will discuss “Sibling Rivalry.” Space is limited and light refreshments will be served.
