JFS of Central NJ Celebrates International Women’s Day With a Free Virtual Support Program for Women

JFS of Central NJ, a non-sectarian health and social service organization, will be presenting “Harnessing the Power of Change,” a six-session free virtual support program for women, starting Tuesday, March 7 at 6 p.m., in celebration of International Women’s Day on March 8. Subsequent program dates are March 14, 21 and 28, and April 4 and 11.

According to Cara Bloom and Anna Zubets, who will be facilitating the program under the direction of JFSCNJ psychotherapists Elaine T. Dill, MSW-LCSW, and Nancy Rosenthal, MSW-LCSW, “The group will explore various life changes you may be experiencing, whether it’s a relationship status, birth of a child, a recent loss, transitioning to a new job or adapting to life during COVID-19.” The group is targeted to women ages 30-45.

Bloom is currently pursuing her master’s in social work at Kean University and is eager to service individuals in need of mental health services based on aspects of self-care. Zubets is an ICF-certified professional life coach and artist who is currently working towards her master’s in social work at Fordham University. She is passionate about helping people reach their full potential, empowering disadvantaged populations and healing intergenerational trauma.
