The group, led by Bonnie Freirich, LCSW, JFSCNJ director of dementia programs, is free and open to Alzheimer’s/dementia caregivers in the community, and is run in accordance with the Alzheimer’s NJ guidelines.

Freirich is a licensed clinical social worker with over 30 years of experience providing evidence-based mental health services to a wide range of clients, and a graduate of New York University’s School of Social Work. The program takes place three days a week, Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays, from 10 a.m.- 3 p.m. at Temple Sholom, 1925 Lake Ave., Scotch Plains, New Jersey.

The support group is for caregivers/family members, but not appropriate for those with the dementia diagnosis. Participants are welcome to join the group at any time but need to contact Freirich in advance to receive the Zoom link. Registration is recommended.
