(Courtesy of JFSCNJ) Volunteers from Congregation Israel Springfield who participate in the monthly “Adopt-A-Holocaust Survivor Initiative,” through which they visit and deliver treats to their paired survivors, gathered to prepare mishloach manot to be distributed on Purim.
Volunteers and their families met at the home of Seth (a JFSCNJ board member who spearheaded the initiative in December 2023) and Rivki Huttel, where they assembled the mishloach manot packages and made Purim projects. Debbie Rosenwein, JFSCNJ director of Holocaust programs, and a member of Congregation Israel, attended this wonderful intergenerational program.
