(Courtesy of JFSCNJ) The seventh day of Chanukah was celebrated through the Uniper platform with a joint Chanukah Party between Jewish Family Service of Central NJ’s group of Holocaust survivors and those in Israel. The event, sponsored by the Ross Family Virtual Senior Center at JFSCNJ, and Jewish Federation of Greater MetroWest NJ’s Global Connections, celebrated two Chanukah miracles—how one night’s worth of oil miraculously lasted for eight, and how new cutting-edge technology enabled two communities to come together virtually from across the globe.
The participants played Chanukah trivia games, listened to live music by singer-songwriter Zvi Rodan and exchanged holiday wishes in English and Hebrew. Many thanks to all of the staff and boards on both sides of the world for this global connection.
