In recognition of Older Adult Month in May, Lifelong Elizabeth is hosting a community walk on Wednesday, May 24 from 10 a.m. to noon (rain date May 25). The Lifelong Elizabeth and Partners Intergenerational Community Walk will take place on the Elizabeth River Trail from South Broad Street (across from the library) to Pearl Street and back.
Lifelong Elizabeth welcomes all in the community to join supporters and walk partners including AARP Elizabeth Chapter 5439, the City of Elizabeth, Elizabeth Police Department, Elizabeth Public Library, Elizabeth Public Schools, Groundwork Elizabeth, Housing Authority City of Elizabeth, Jewish Family Service of Central NJ, Rutgers Cooperative Extension, Trinitas Regional Medical Center-RWJBarnabas Health and Union County Fatherhood Initiative Coalition.
Join them for a short walking safety presentation from the Elizabeth Police
Department along with a safety vest giveaway, refreshments and some exercise. Bring along a friend, family member or co-worker; all ages welcome!
Lifelong Elizabeth is a Grotta Fund for Senior Care funded program through Jewish Family Service of Central NJ, a nonprofit, nonsectarian health and human services agency serving over 10,000 individuals from Union County a year.
