In preparation for Yom Yerushalayim, the Lower School students enjoyed a shiriya filled with ruach and singing, which began with the proud early childhood classes leading the Hatikva. Each grade prepared a special song about Yerushalayim to share on stage with the rest of the Lower School. Included in the celebration was a spectacular daglanut display by the eighth grade girls.
This extravaganza was emceed by the school’s shaliach from Israel, Ran. Amidst the presentations, the children viewed the footage of the battle for Yerushalayim and witnessed the excitement of the soldiers coming to the kotel on that momentous day in 1967.
