The JKHA eighth graders returned from a jam-packed three days in Washington, D.C. The trip was a great opportunity to see important sights while bonding as a grade before their upcoming advancement. Highlights of the trip included touring the historic sites of the city such as the Washington Monument, U.S. war memorials and the Lincoln Memorial, touring the Capitol building, an early engagement session at AIPAC headquarters and exploring the exhibits in the National Air and Space Museum of the Smithsonian Institute.

They also enjoyed an interactive Escape the Room activity, dinner boat cruise, Washington Nationals game and learning about the journalistic process and integrity at the Newseum.
