JKHA eighth graders began celebrating their final weeks at JKHA with trips this past week. Their first day started with a tour of the famous Bialystoker Shul as well as an action-packed Zoom-led scavenger hunt by Watson Adventures throughout the Lower East Side of Manhattan where they unearthed clues and trivia about Jewish American life in the area in the 19th century.
Following their delayed bar mitzvah celebration on day two, they spent the afternoon spending time together at funplex where they had the whole facility to themselves. They concluded the week with a trip to Camp Bernie where they had the opportunity to bond outdoors on this beautiful day. Students enjoyed the time together canoeing, climbing the ropes course, playing sports and more.
