The JKHA eighth grade gabbaim have demonstrated true leadership and teamwork this year through the running of the middle school minyanim. From creating an organized aliyah rotation system, to soliciting new students to lead the tefillah and lein from the Torah, to making sure that chazzanim are properly prepared, students have risen to the occasion to make sure that davening is as efficient as possible. In order to limit talking and keep things running smoothly, students recently took the initiative to seek the guidance of JKHA/RKYHS Educational Technologist Miri Rubin to use the new Glowforge laser printer in the middle school Makerspace lab to design and create beautiful and durable acrylic aliyah cards to give students their respective roles in tefillah. Kol hakavod on their efforts in raising the bar of the tefilla experience.
