A JKHA middle school science class was selected for the Google computer science speaker program. Students built solutions with computer science by working with Mr. Cris, Google Classroom coder, and Ms. Susan, Google Maps coder, to brainstorm new features for Google Maps. Then, students presented their ideas to the class, where a further discussion occurred on the pros and cons of how each potential feature would benefit users of Google Maps. The opportunity was arranged by a middle school STEM educator that comes to JKHA middle school through the TeachNJ STEM program.
