Current and prospective JKHA families joined together for an enjoyable and meaningful “Shabbat on Sunday” program at JKHA. It was a fun morning filled with a Shabbat bazaar complete with Shabbat-themed arts and crafts, chesed packaging of Shabbat Kits that will be distributed to Jewish patients in the hospital for Shabbat, a science experiment with yeast and challah making. A highlight of the morning was when everyone gathered in the Epstein Stein Auditorium for a recreation of the lower school morning assembly, communal Tehillim and a rousing zemirot performance from each grade on its own, as well as all grades harmoniously in unison singing “Acheinu.” The program concluded with a delicious hot kiddush. JKHA is grateful to the Day School Initiative of the Jewish Federation of Greater MetroWest for their generous sponsorship of the program.
