The Joseph Kushner Hebrew Academy Middle School math department has decided to put an end to students saying “I don’t know” in the classroom. Why? Because students do know! Instead of saying, “I don’t know,” students are encouraged to focus on what they do know and use that information to find a solution. To help spread this idea, JKHA sponsored a contest in which students created posters that encouraged their peers to “Try!” Of the many creative entries received, the winners included Sophia Eisenberg (5th grade), Eli Novick (6th grade and overall) and Maya Minsky (7th grade). Congratulations to all the participants!
