The students participating in the JKHA Musical Theater Workshop worked hard preparing for last week’s performance of “Seize the Day.” The first-class performance featured scenes and songs from Broadway shows including “Annie,” “The Fantasticks,” “The Lion King,” “Newsies,” “Oliver!,” “Rent” and more, and was a culmination of the students’ hard work throughout this school year. In addition to the onstage performers, students were involved in the direction and stage production.
The performance was produced by Pleasant Valley Productions, an independent not-for-profit community theater company, under the skilled leadership of musical director and program coordinator Ilene Greenbaum and director and choreographer Camille DiLorenzo.
