JKHA Is Off to a Great Start

The hallways and classrooms throughout JKHA were energized with learning and excitement as students returned to school. Students in the JKHA early childhood and first grade had a chance to come for a “meet and greet” the day before school started. They had the opportunity to be warmly greeted by their teachers, get their cubbies set up and get familiar with their classrooms to get ready for the year ahead. All of the JKHA middle school grades had orientations, met with administrators and got a taste of their classes and schedule. Middle school’s newest students in fifth grade had sessions to ease their transition and meet their teachers to help them get situated. JKHA lower school began their day as a school community all together with the daily morning assembly. The early days of school for JKHA have had students getting acclimated to their new teachers and classrooms and are now in full swing. Students in early childhood and lower school have been excited to try out the new sensory floor decals in the division’s hallway, that allow for movement breaks throughout the day. All of JKHA is looking forward to a year filled with exploration, inquiry, learning and growth.
