The TREP$ marketplace at JKHA is open for business! The JKHA fifth grade students have been working for weeks on the TREP$ entrepreneurship education project, learning financial literacy and life skills as they build a business of their own creation. Students created their own original product, learned how to pitch a product, how to market a product, how to secure investors, measure revenue and expenses, design branding and more. They also incorporated the concept of tzedaka and how it relates to their entrepreneurship. Students learned about advertising in their language arts classes along with the school’s Educational Technologist Mrs. Rubin where they determined techniques advertisers use to sell products and messages of advertising, then utilized principles of design to create their own ads on Canva that were displayed all around school. Their products were sold last Wednesday night as students displayed their creativity and new entrepreneur skills. Thank you to Livingston Councilman Michael Vieira for visiting the TREP$ Marketplace.
