Linking Northern and Central NJ, Bronx, Manhattan, Westchester and CT

JKHA lower school packed in learning and fun over two days of Chol HaMoed. Students took part in a whole host of Sukkot related activities as they competed in the Amazing Race. Fourth graders learned about defining a kosher sukkah and created their own innovative sukkot in the MakerSpace. The bnot sherut led students in a delicious edible sukkah making activity. First through fourth grades were each introduced to a new aspect of their Torah learning for the year from parsha and Chumash to Rashi and Navi. Thank you Rabbi Klibanoff, Rabbi Sharbat, Mrs. CM Gerson and Rabbi Rubin for leading this program as first grade got ready for Simchat Torah with an up close look at the Torah, second grade was introduced to sefer Bereishit, third grade met “Rashi” as they embark on learning Rashi, and fourth grade met with a “navi” as they begin their study of Navi. The “week” at school for EC and LS concluded with a moving kumzitz. It was beautiful weather for an outdoor chagiga and games with Digital Dov on the recreation fields to round out the Chol Hamoed experience!
