The theme of the year in JKHA this year is “Build.” To kick off the theme, JKHA early childhood and lower school participated in a program that tied into the Aseret Yemei Teshuva. Students brainstormed ways they can build up themselves and their community. Ideas included building kindness towards others, building their brains with learning as much as they can and building their Jewish identity by doing as many mitzvot as possible. The students each got their own mega lego to depict what they want to build in themselves. Then as a grade-wide community, the students worked together to bridge their own lego and build a structure that will be displayed in the atrium.
