JKHA Middle School Boys Grow Their Own Aravot

The holiday of Sukkot is one highlighted for its happiness as it says in the passuk- “ve’samachta be’chagecha.” And there is no greater simcha than being involved in a mitzvah from start to finish and seeing one’s efforts come to fruition! After a year long process (and several years of failed attempts) Rabbi Feit’s seventh and eighth grade boys class at JKHA concluded the process that started a year ago of planting aravot, caring for them, planting them, and watching them grow, by finally harvesting those aravot for personal use this Sukkot. The students rejoiced as they cut their aravot in what will surely be a memorable experience that will last a lifetime. They look forward to starting the process all over after Sukkot!
