The middle school students at JKHA had an exciting week of Chanukah chesed. The sixth grade students took part in a two-day project of cooking and packing food for Tomchei Shabbos. They prepared and packed full meals that were delivered the following day for Shabbat to families in need. The seventh grade students brightened the day for the senior citizens and residents at Daughters of Miriam, Care One and Daughters of Israel nursing homes. The eighth grade took its annual trip to the Community Food Bank of New Jersey where they packed boxes of supplies that families need for the holiday season and beyond. The division participated in a number of other Chanukah-related activities all week, but the highlight of the week was being able to give back to the community and perform acts of chesed.
