The JKHA Cobras middle school girls basketball team is on a roll! They’ve won six straight games after an uneven start to the season. The team is headed to the playoffs feeling confident.
The team has not lost a game since January 12, as they have since reeled off wins against MDS, Ashar, RPRY, He’Atid, Westchester Day School and BPY.
First year Head Coach Jason Holmes said, “This group of girls will not give up. They come ready to work each day and are an enthusiastic bunch willing to do whatever is necessary to get the job done. I’m really proud of them.”
The Cobras really bonded over their game against RPRY. Nearly every player scored, and they showed great sportsmanship through encouraging their opponents on several occasions. “That game really showed them the fun side of basketball, and how we can strengthen our entire community in the way we play,” Coach Holmes added.
