JKHA middle school was thrilled to hold annual parent-child Chanukah learning, utilizing the scheduled remote learning day for the division that was previously planned for parent-teacher conferences. Parents along with their children joined middle school Judaic Studies faculty and administration for a special Moadim L’STEAMcha learning program about Chanukah, focused on the symbolism, ideas and meaning of the dreidel. After a group learning session with Rabbi Sharbat, parents and their children learned their own sections together. After the learning, parents and students were then guided in a STEM project creating a dreidel using scientific concepts.
