Middle school students participated in a chesed project in commemoration of the yahrzeit of school namesake Joseph Kushner, z”l. Students put together Chanukah packages to be sent overseas to Jewish American soldiers that contained Chanukah treats, much needed supplies, and a personal note from each student. U.S. Army veteran and early childhood parent Charlie Larkin spoke to the students beforehand and discussed how meaningful it is to receive packages and personal notes when you are stationed overseas.
