The TREP$ marketplace is open for business. The fifth grade students have been working for weeks on the TREP$ entrepreneurship education project, learning financial literacy and life skills as they build a business of their own creation. Students created their own original product, learned how to pitch a product, how to market a product, how to secure investors, measure revenue and expenses, design branding and more. They also incorporated the concept of tzedakah and how it relates to their entrepreneurship. They learned about advertising with school Educational Technologist Mrs Rubin where they determined techniques advertisers use to sell products and messages of advertising, then utilized principles of design to create their own ads on Canvas that were displayed all around school. Their products were sold in the TREP$ Marketplace in the Jocheved Orbach Dining Hall as shoppers were able to see the students’ creativity and new entrepreneurial skills!
