JKHA Participates in Inspirational Programming for Yom Hazikaron

On Yom Hazikaron, JKHA worked with its Rishon, Oz Attar, part of the Greater Metrowest Federation’s Rishonim program that brings Israeli representatives to the school for Israel-related education and programming throughout the year.

In lower school, the gan and first and second grade classrooms were visited by JKHA’s Rishon, Oz Attar. Oz shared personal stories and pictures teaching about the connection between the Jewish people and Tzahal, focusing on our national pride and relationship to each individual soldier.

Middle school had a moving program led by Oz Attar as well. He ran a developmentally appropriate tekes that combined multimedia presentations, yizkor tefilot and short speeches from students memorializing the fallen soldiers of IDF. This was followed by a moving talk from Holocaust survivor Mrs. Laub who told the story of survival and shared the message of am yisrael chai.
