JKHA/RKYHS ATID Society Presents Safam in Concert

(Courtesy of JKHA/RKYHS) Each fall, the Joseph Kushner Hebrew Academy/Rae Kushner Yeshiva High School (JKHA/RKYHS) convenes an impressive concert or performance to recognize and thank its ATID Society members and corporate sponsors for their partnership in ensuring academic excellence and prioritizing the value of a JKHA/RKYHS Jewish education. Past talents for this prestigious event have included Matisyahu, Mandy Patinkin, Dudu Fisher, Marvin Hamlisch, Joel Grey and Neil Sedaka.

This year, the JKHA/RKYHS ATID Society is proud to present Safam, the Jewish-American sound. The concert will be held on Sunday, December 3, at 7:30 p.m. in the Dr. Morris Epstein—Bernard Stein Auditorium at the JKHA/RKYHS campus at 110 South Orange Avenue in Livingston, and is open to the public.

JKHA/RKYHS is also excited to be joined by the legendary Nachum Segal, president of the Nachum Segal Network, who will serve as the special master of ceremonies. Segal is an alum of the Hebrew Youth Academy (HYA ’75), the predecessor to JKHA, and his father, Rabbi Zev Segal, z”l, was among the school’s early leaders and founders.

The annual ATID Society concert, chaired by Bat Sheva and Murray Halpern, kicks off the 2017-2018 JKHA/RKYHS Annual Campaign. “Support for this inspiring event provides JKHA/RKYHS students with the knowledge and skills they require to ensure Jewish continuity,” stated Murray, who serves on the school’s board of trustees. “ATID means future—and our students are the future of our community and klal Yisrael.”

JKHA/RKYHS provides an inspired Jewish education combined with a thoughtful, engaging secular education rivaling the very best independent schools. Given that tuition and fees cover less than 70 percent of the costs, the annual campaign enables the school to hire top-tier faculty and offer a cutting-edge STEM program, an exceptional Judaic studies curriculum and diverse opportunities in theater and sports, while remaining affordable and accessible to school families.

Enrollment at JKHA/RKYHS has grown significantly in the past few years, largely attributed to the school’s winning equation for success—offering a high-quality education while demonstrating an innovative commitment to affordability and growth.

For membership in the ATID Society and corporate sponsorship opportunities, please contact JKHA/RKYHS Director of Development Lauren Shapiro at [email protected] or 862-437-8192. Membership starts at $1,000 per couple and includes two tickets to the event and a lavish pre-concert reception, with elevated membership levels that include additional tickets. Sponsorships are still available.

Individual tickets to the concert can be purchased for $75 at www.jkha.org/ATID. The concert will be followed by a deluxe dessert reception for all attendees with Safam and Nachum Segal.
