What a momentous day for JKHA and RKYHS as the entire student body celebrated the opening and dedication of the brand new Naomi Rosenfeld Kehilah Center. This new, multi-functional room creates an expansive, light-filled indoor space to be utilized for division-wide programming, indoor recess during inclement weather and individual alcoves for informal learning opportunities.
The center was dedicated with a meaningful school-wide program that illuminated JKHA parent Naomi Rosenfeld’s z”l character and sense of purpose, as she inspired others to find strength and joy in their Judaism. The students were treated to a concert and chagiga in the new center featuring renowned Jewish musician Eitan Katz. The room was filled with dancing and singing, embodying the experiential Jewish learning and love of Judaism that Rosenfeld so greatly believed in.
During the previous year, the school raised more than $600,000 from more than 700 participants who came together to help build the new space to honor and remember Naomi Rosenfeld z”l each day at the school.
