JKHA Students Celebrate Thanksgiving

On the Tuesday before Thanksgiving, the JKHA nursery, pre-K and kindergarten students gathered together to celebrate Thanksgiving. True to the spirit of the holiday, each class contributed food to share with the other classes. Fruit cornucopia, apple sauce, sweet potatoes, cranberry sauce and corn salad were all prepared by the children. Many students arrived in costume, which helped create a more festive feeling. The feast reminded the students that Thanksgiving is a time to be thankful and helpful to others, the way the Native Americans supported the Pilgrims. During the celebration, early childhood students heard a story about giving thanks and shared what they were thankful for.
