Over the past few weeks, middle school students were challenged to read books from a selected list. All students who read at least three books were invited to participate in the “Battle of the Books.” Teams of students answered questions about the details of the book and were required to know the titles and authors. Everyone enjoyed a pizza lunch and a friendly competition, with all teams displaying vast comprehension and recall of everything they read.
